Prescott Public Library is proud of its mission to provide equitable access to all residents. With the help of grant funding, the library is especially proud to announce the February launch of the You Too! project – a project aimed at increasing access and engagement for Prescott area residents who have vision and hearing loss. The project features new assistive technology at the library as well as iPads with adaptive apps that can be loaned to patrons and will be embedded with community partners.
The You Too! project is currently seeking volunteers who will be trained with the iPads and assistive apps. Volunteers will then provide one-to-one assistance and training. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Martha Baden at 928.777.1519 or email@example.com.
Stay tuned for You Too! updates in this newsletter and on the library website. The You Too! project is supported by the Arizona State Library, Archives & Public Records, a division of the Secretary of State, with federal funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services. Additional funding is provided through an IBM grant secured by former IBM employee and library volunteer, Harry Vedvik.
