Learn to Assist Vets, Military Personnel

Wednesday, February 28, 9:30 a.m. — Military/Veteran Resource Navigator Training.

Arizona is home to more than 600,000 service members, veterans and their families. You can help them to be connected by becoming an Arizona Military/Veteran Resource Navigator! Everyone can have a role in connecting service members, veterans and their families to information, support and resources. In the same way that CPR or First Aid training prepares you to help someone who is injured, Resource Navigator training prepares you to help someone who needs resources. This training covers:

  • The available tools to help someone connect to resources, including a 24/7 support line and Resource Connection Guide
  • How to help a person or family find the right door
  • Key factors that may affect a person or family’s access to resources
  • Navigation strategies
  • How to link into the military/veteran community to find resources to address a range of issues and needs
