Accelerated Reader Information
Search for Articles and MorePrescott Public Library offers a range of excellent online research tools. The list below highlights some of the resources best suited for kids, but there are lots of other resources to explore. To use the links below, you will need to enter your library card number. Funk & Wagnall's New World Encyclopedia - Brief articles on a variety of subjects. Kids Search - A kid-friendly source for articles from books and magazines, plus an online dictionary, encyclopedia, and image search. Designed for grades K-5. Primary Search - Search for articles from more than 70 popular magazines for elementary school students. Searchasaurus - A colorful way to search for articles and more. Users can limit searches by lexile (reading) level, which is especially useful for younger students.

Accelerated ReaderAccelerated Reader is a program many local schools use to help students read books at the appropriate reading level and take quizzes to improve reading comprehension. PPL's library catalog does not currently offer an Accelerated Reader search option. For the widest selection of search option, visit the Accelerated Reader website. The site allows you to search by title, author, book level, and more. When you find books that interest you, you can return to the library catalog to see whether they are owned by Yavapai County libraries. If your child attends Washington Traditional School, you can search for Accelerated Reader books that are held in the library there: Washington Traditional School Quizlist
