Tuesday, March 9
10 a.m. Tuesday Morning Book Club. Read and share your insights into Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet by Jamie Ford with the group. Join the Tuesday Morning Book Club to read and discuss a wide variety of contemporary fiction and nonfiction.
3:30 p.m. Teens Ask the Judge. Thomas Jacobs J.D., a retired juvenile and family court judge, will present an informal workshop for teens about how the law affects them. This program is for young adults in grades 6-12. Space is limited and registration is required. Please contact the Youth Services desk at 777-1537 to reserve your spot.

Wednesday, March 10
10 a.m. Toddler Storytime. Join Mr. Steve for stories, songs and activities selected especially for ages 0-3. Siblings are welcome, and there is no need to register in advance.

Thursday, March 11
10 a.m. Café Socrates. Joel Thomas will facilitate discussions encouraging participants to articulate, explore, and further discover their singular philosophy of life, and to develop and contribute their unique talents and potentials.
10 a.m. Silly Thursday Storytime. A silly, wiggly story time for ages 2-5. Siblings are welcome, and there is no need to register in advance.
3:30 p.m. Page Turners with Miss Joan. Read-aloud with Miss Joan every Thursday afternoon. Ages six and up. Some sessions will include crafts or other activities inspired by the stories.
6:30 p.m. WORDS Book Club. This month: An Unfinished Life by Mark Spragg. Join us in lively discussions of a wide variety of fiction and non-fiction.

Friday, March 12
10 a.m. Introduction to Computing for Spanish Speakers. Learn the basics of computer operation. Program is in Spanish. Seating is limited. Reservations are required. 848-2736
10 a.m. Preschool Storytime. Join Miss Jennifer for stories, finger plays, and songs. Each week has a different theme. The program is designed for ages 3-5. Siblings are always welcome.
1 p.m. Art Days at the Library – Famous Portraits. Art Days at the Library are presented by the Prescott Art Docents. Registration is required, and begins 30 days before each program. Call 777-1537 to reserve your space.

Saturday, March 13
2 p.m. Drop-In Chess. Players of all ages and skill levels are invited to drop in and play chess. Chess sets are available to check out for use in the library.
7 p.m. Starry Nights at Watson Lake. “Globe at Night” Star Count! Be a citizen scientist and help measure light pollution with Constellation Orion. Dress warmly and join us with your own telescope or binoculars. Watson Lake Park Upper Ramada. 778-6324

2 p.m. Canyon Country Community Lecture Series. Call of the Canyon: Moulty Fulmer's 1950s Grand Canyon River Trips. Join Flagstaff author Tom Martin for a fun, visual presentation on the origins of the GEM, Grand Canyon's first dory.

Tuesday, March 16
3:30 p.m. Teen Advisory Group. Kids and teens in grades 6-12 meet to plan library programs and help with service projects. All teens who want to participate are welcome. Call Jennifer at 777-1518 for details!

6 p.m.  AHC Community Book Discussion. Join us in a dynamic book discussion. Kathryn Reisdorfer, our professional facilitator leads a discussion once a month.  The March title is Pick-Up by Nadine Gordimer. All are welcome to join. This program is a partnership with the Arizona Humanities Council.

6:30 p.m. Third-Thursday Star Talk. Road to Renewables! Scott Steele, from the APS Solar Test and Research Center, will explore how cutting-edge solar energy research works for us. Join the Prescott Astronomy Club for talks on hot topics in astronomy and space science on the Third Thursday of each month.

6:30 p.m. “Just for Grownups” International Film Series. A six-time award-winning movie, Storm is described as "Harrowing, provocative and deeply probing!" by Kevin Thomas, LA Times. In German with English subtitles. See an award-winning international film free the first Tuesday of each month.

Wednesday, April 7
10 a.m. Poetry Discussion Group. Join Dr. Janet Preston to enjoy and discuss great poetry in an informal setting. This free program is open to all. Copies of poems will be distributed at the gathering.
