What’s in the kits?
Six to ten copies of a single title, instructions for managing the book club kit, “Tips for a Successful Book Club,” biographical information about the author and suggested questions for book club discussions of the book. Some kits may include large print books or audiobooks.

The library will be adding more titles regularly, so check back frequently or simply search the catalog using “book club kit” as keywords.
How long can we keep the kit?
The checkout period is eight weeks, with no renewals.
Who can check the kit out?
Anyone in the book club can who has a valid Yavapai Library Network library card may check out the kit. However, the person who checks out the kit is ultimately responsible for any lost items, damaged items or overdue fees.
What is the charge if a book club member loses a book?
The charge for a lost book is $10.00.
How do I request a book club kit?
To place a request for a kit, the representative of the book club will complete an online form (see below), visit or call the Ask a Librarian Desk at Prescott Public Library.
If you want to pick up the kit at any Yavapai County library other than Prescott Public Library, you must call the Ask a Librarian Desk at 928-777-1526. Make sure to specify which library you want the kit to be sent to. If you are placing a hold for a future date, you are responsible for calling the Ask A Librarian desk again 10 days before your desired pick up date to ensure the kit is transited to your library. If you do not call, the kit will not be transited.
Where do I pick up the kit?
Bring your library card to the Ask a Librarian Desk on the main level to pick up your book club kit. If you requested the kit be transited to another library, ask staff at the pick-up library to direct you to their holds.
Where do I return the kit?
Kits must be returned to the Ask a Librarian Desk on the main level of Prescott Public Library, and they must be returned with all contents of the bag. Titles may not be returned individually by book club members. If the kit was transited to another library, the kit can also be returned directly to circulation staff at the library where the kit was checked out. The kit SHOULD NOT be returned to drop off book returns.
