Eclectic performs for Music for Lunch on August 18. Pick up a copy of Willa Cather's The Professors House at the Ask a Librarian Desk ,and join the Arizona Humanities Council Community Book Discussion later that day. August 20 it's the Third Friday Chamber Music Series. Every Monday at 11 a.m., join us for Conversational Spanish. Saturdays at 2 p.m., it's time for Drop-in Chess. Want to improve your computer skills? Volunteers are available Monday through Friday, by appointment, to help you master Microsoft Word, email, Facebook, craigslist and more.

Thanks to generous library donors, 12 new solar panels have been added to the 63 installed late last year. 75 roof-mounted panels now help power library computers and lights. Click here to monitor current solar panel power production. The Canyon Country Community Lecture Series returns in September. Offered in partnership with Grand Canyon Association and KNAU, Arizona Public Radio, this series is sure to please with lively presentations on topics from Gunnar Widforss September 12) to Lake Powell (November 14). Second Sundays at 2 p.m. September through May. Increase your knowledge of history and culture with the series Mexico: Prescott’s Distant Neighbor, presented in partnership with the Arizona Humanities Council, Prescott-Caborca Sister City Association and Sharlot Hall Museum.
